No. This machine is engineered specifically for fresh, raw, or "chilled/micro-frozen" whole poultry (operating optimally between -2°C and +5°C). Attempting to cut through a solid block of poultry frozen at -18°C will be like trying to slice through solid ice, which will instantly snap the high-carbon shearing blades.
Why has the equipment been specifically designed to avoid crushing the meat?
Under crushing pressure, the cell walls of raw meat rupture. This breakdown causes the chicken to leak its internal fluids, resulting in a massive loss of weight and leaving the product looking dry and unappetising in its packaging. Is the main blade a bit of a faff to take out and sharpen?
Absolutely not. Given the inevitable wear and tear from cutting through raw bone, the blade assembly is mounted on an oversized quick-release arbor. This allows your maintenance technician to easily swap out the blade array during a standard shift change, hone the edges using the supplied diamond alignment tools, and reinstall it without a hitch.
